Where did you come up with the Idea?

The idea came in a dream. It was in April of 2005 when I dreamed an image of a little girl with an umbrella, dressed in rain gear on a sunny day. It was raining under the umbrella and she was having fun splashing in the puddles. I woke up, sat up in bed, and woke my wife up to help me remember the dream in the morning. The idea evolved from there.

Are the illustrations cut paper or digital?

The images are not cut paper but I did study how cut paper illustrations were constructed as part of my reasearch. My medium is a Macintosh computer with Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop and an Epson printer. I spend a lot of time experimenting with the hardware and software tools that I have and really enjoy discovering new processes.

Are all the snowflakes different?

Well, I tried. I really, really tried.
