I am not sure if I tagged this post correctly when I did it.
The post is title Photoshop Comps and I do believe that it is listed under my name.
I hope this helps
In choosing the type for lawrencefolio.com I had to consider what would be the easiest for the view. I do not have access to mich in the way of web type editing programs so I decided that the best way to render the type was to use the standard fonts that most computers had available to them,
Ariel, Helvedica, (sans serif)
Times New Roman, Georgia (serif)
In the future I hope to be able to use better fonts on the site, but at this point this will have to do.
I chose to use a san serif font for my site. I really like the geometic look and the simplicity of the design.
My first choice would be helvetica.
Working with dreamweaver and getting my site up and working took a lot more work than I expected.
I really hope that I can learn more about getting a website up and running but I think it will take a lot more work. I think it was really good to learn to learn how to make a style guide. Now i can design a site and know what to tell a person when they need to code the site.
What I have finished so far on my site is on my site at www.jessicabutlerdesign.com .
For the assignment I was more focused on the style guide. I only got to dabble in the execution of the site. I do feel more confident and competent this time around. I am more comfortable using the resources given to solve problems instead of always feeling that I have to ask someone to tell me how to code something. After reading the Teach the Web articles at the beginning of the semester, learning how to learn is what I wanted out of this class. Especially knowing that I came in with practically no knowledge of how to do any of this, and leaving with the skill set to make a simple site, and the ability to find ways to make a complex one.
My current blog is: http://claireification.wordpress.com/ for anyone who want to add me to their list of fellow designers to validate their page.
As soon as I Implement my site on claireification.com this link will redirect. Even though I had nothing to show for the final, I am really excited to continue working on this site in Dreamweaver and learn how to implement everything on WordPress.
Here is my current style guide.
As I continue working on my site I am positive sections of what I have will need adjusting. So I will keep updating the style guide.
Smoothing out the wrinkles is putting it a little too delicately.
I’ll try getting it working as soon as I can. I just hope this won’t end up like most personal projects and take a back seat.
