It looks wrong because I updated a wordpress plug-in without saving my adjusted CSS. I am working on it.

I have begun the last few paintings with an overall pattern (see Pinkerbell and Crayzan). Then I paint on top selecting the colors with the eye dropper tool. I am experimenting with this process as a way to create color harmony.

This image was created for illustrationfriday.com.
As a child my bicycle was the ultimate feeling of freedom. It was pre-helmet days and I loved the wind in my hair while riding down the sidewalk feeling the bump of each new section. Bump-bump, Bump-bump, Bump-bump. Because it was a bicycle everything, including sounds comes in two.

The soft diffused light of strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate.
The image was created using four different textures. One made from single sided corrugated cardboard, two traditionally gessoed panels, and a repeating pattern. I enjoy the way the different textures overlay one another allowing for bits of the color underneath to show through.

Coming up with an idea is always a challenge and this was no exception. I knew that I wanted to use the technique of painting a series of acrylic paintings in black, scanning them with back light, and then coloring them in Photoshop, but I couldn’t make up my mind what to paint.

I really like these and wish I could buy them! My favorite is “Tree” and “Birth of Paisley” I would totally hang these in my house.
I am getting ready to sell some of the images. I will let you know soon.
Can you add me to the list of people to let know when you start selling? I love this image, “Wool”. I would love to buy a print!
(found you via Mike Laughead, I was one of his students a few years back)
I will let you know. Thank you for your interest.
Mike is great. You were lucky to have a class from him!
