The soundtrack of my youth began everyday after school. I would get home and watch Gilligan’s Island, The Beverly Hillbillies, Bewitched and I Dream of Jeanie.
It was a simple and good life back in the olden days. We only had a black and white TV and the canned laughter always helped me know when something was funny.
yes, i remember this too :) Thanks!
That’s a great interpretation of the topic. Love the color. I remember watching reruns of those shows after school too. One we watched that you didn’t mention was “The Brady Bunch.” Great illustration.
Wow, I remember that! Wonderful thought and colors! I remember watching “Dark Shadows” too! Hmmm…I don’t think that was funny at the time, but still fun!
Look what you’ve started, Scott. This must be a reunion/remembrance of the senior crowd. I was also an inveterate bewitched, I Dream of Jeanie, Beverly Hillbillies, Gulligan’s Island AND Dark Shadows (although that one would give me nightmares). Great to see your take on this topic.
Dammit! I wish I thought about canned laughter…
I really like the way you expressed the word in the illustration.
Simple and effective :)
The expression “canned laughter” always made me imagine something like this.
Tee Hee! Cute idea!
Hilarious (and strangely true–the canned laughter part).
Now I’m hearing canned laughter in my head!
Great idea.
very nice work!
A really nice and excellent work, congratulations!
This is fun! I like it!
